Problem with M3

Does anybody have a clue as to why the fiollowing could happen: Last nite when i went to bed the system was working great. When I went to turn it on this am (xmas day) one of the speakers is only putting out a small amount of volume and the other speaker is fine. i checked all leads , changed amps, wires, ect and opened up the base to ensure all the leads were still inserted on the speaker. Everything looks fine, but the left channel is almost nonexistent. the speakers are M-3's that I have had for several years. It is hard to believe that 6 hours after having listened to them, one of the speakers is not putting out. Maybe Duke or someone may have an idea for me. Any responeses will be appreciated. Thanks,
