I have a pair of M-1's stuffed in a room that is about 11'6" x 13'6". Furthermore, for WAF reasons I do not have any treatments on the walls of the room, although the corners behind the speakers are full of treatments and I do have a trio of room lenses. I can not say I have a great deal of audiophile experience to judge by, but I am very happy with the results--the imaging is pinpoint and bass really is not much of a problem (I rarely listen to music louder than 80 to 85 db, though). I think you do need to heed Mr. Green's warnings, however; maybe I just got lucky. Also, you will feel like you just moved onto the set of 2001: A Space Odyssey but with 2 black monoliths, not just one. Just don't hit anyone with any bones!
