I enjoyed your "Beans" Metaphor, And it was an interesting description of Parallel Processing !

My Question was about [ Burn-in time on a Balanced Input ?] And it is still not answered ?

But it does bring up the Myth that Balanced Inputs are always better !
Long Distant Low Level lines. Or Lines that are in close proximity of Hi-Power Transmitters are the few instance needing balanced lines...

I'd like to address your concept of carrying a balanced circuits all the way through from the input to the output of power amp?...
Even If the input of an power amp was balanced at the input, it should be returned back to an un-balanced circuit within the amp...
The reasoning: Some of the Distortion produced in an amplifier have a lot to do with exact balance of the Push-Pull power drive stage voltages...And if the input is the determining factor of the levels of balanced drive to the outputs stages, the distortion measurement of the amp would be dependant on the exact balances of the [+] & [-] signals source presented to & from the balanced input ...Even a small percentage of corrosion on the pins of the input balanced connector could unbalance the precise balance of the output drive signals...Most all amps in a P-P configurations return the balanced input to a unbalanced signal early on within and then split the phase to exact proportion in the early stages of the pre-drive sections of the amp circuit !...There by controlling the balance distortion to within the amp's parameters...And the overall output balance distortion is not dependant on the input signals for exact phase inversion...
Something like always having your "beans" the same size & weight, moving all at the same moment & speed together but opposite..at all times...
