I was looking at buying a Classe' Omicron amplifier at a reduced price ($5700 vs. original retail of $12k) since the new Omicron mono-blocks were introduced at the CES this year. Regardless, I love the sound of the Omicron with my M-1s, but now my issue.
The dealer who contacted me regarding the Omicron indicated I should try out the Chapter Audio amp as it is better than some tubes and does not use valve technology like solid state does. In addition, he has given me references of ribbon speakers owners who are now major Chapter Audio fans after hearing it. I don't get caught up in sales pitches and the rep was willing to let me try the amp in my home for free.
Based on the link below, is this new technology just a marketing spin or could there be inherent advantages to going with this just based off of reading the link?
