I have Quad 989s and have gotten excellent results with Atmasphere MA1mk2/2s. Super transparent, natural.dynamic. great imaging etc..These replaced Futtermans(real H3aas built by Julius for me in the 70s) which delivered superb sound reliably for many years with KLH9s,Quads ets.. I would highly recommend the Atmaspheres.
