I used the Rotel 1090 with excellent results coupled with the M-2's. I don't recall a dip or any problems at 100 Hz or any other frequency. The Rotel was the only amp I tried that didn't shut down or burst into flames at high levels. I suspect Roger and Brett use a 600 watt/channel audio research amp for reference due to the demanding and inefficient nature of these loudspeakers.
