I have seen so many posts about wanting amplifier recommendations that I thought I would turn the tide a little bit and proactively offer my own recommendation. I just purchased a brand new Classe' Omega Omicron Amp w/full warranty. I originally tried it out on my M-1s and was amazed at how warm yet powerful it was in driving my speakers compared to the Atmasphere Tubes. In addition, I was amazed at the price I paid for the Omicron. Originally, the Omicron goes for $12,000 retail. However, given the fact that their new Omicron monoblocks come out in June and the fact that the unit is classified as fully warranted B-stock (meaning a scratch that had occurred in the factory on the unit) I only paid $5700 including shipping.
To clarify, I am not a rep for Classe' nor have any relations with the company nor do I endorse their products. No ties, period. Rob, from Canadian HIFI in Regina, Saskatchewan saw my "Wanted Add" for an Omicron on Audiogon and gave me a call. I thought it would be interesting for those who have some interest to investigate as well. Canadian HIFI's number is 306-522-4434. There are only 4 units left in the Classe' factory minus the one I purchased.
BTW...the Omicron is 350W/ch and is the exact same as the Omega flagship minus 100W per channel.
