I think both Roy and I use the same type of polystyrene and tin capacitor, manufactured by Southern Electronics; these are 2uF value rated at about 200V. As Roy inferred, one needs 12 caps per channel in order to obtain the desired 24uF total capacitance in the latest recommended filter. Southern assured me that I was buying the "last run" of caps in this value, when I bought mine about a year ago. However, they continue to list the caps in 1.5 or 1.0 uF values. It was a real trick to fit the 12 caps into the backplate module, but well worth the effort, IMO. If you can no longer obtain these caps, then I recommend that you consider purchasing MIT PPFX-S types. These are polypropylene and tin "multicaps". They are available in up to 8uF values at the desired 200V rating, so installation is simplified, since you only need 3 per side. I used the MITs in my previous set of U2 speakers and was very pleased with them. Michael Percy Audio (among several others) is a source for MIT caps.
