Wow, Roy! I am amazed that that thing would fit into the A3 base module; it would not fit into the M1, I am fairly certain. I built a similar but smaller "brick" out of 2-uF caps, requiring only 12 per side, of course. I mounted mine on a piece of plywood and tied all leads to a pair of teflon solder posts at one end of the plywood. Then those posts are linked to the appropriate circuit points on the backplate via Cardas 15-Ga wire. The plywood cum capacitors barely fits into one side of the M1 base module, held in place by double-sided tape. I've had second thoughts on the use of the Cardas wire in this application, since I am not sure I thoroughly like their wires in other applications, but the set-up sounds so wonderful that I have been loathe to make a change. Out of curiosity, I used your link to jump to the Southern Electronics website. As I noted, they no longer list the 2-uF value of polystyrene cap, but they DO seem to make 5-uF polystyrenes. So, it would be possible to get by with five of the 5uF caps per side, if space were a real problem. They apparently still also make the 1uF caps that you are using.
