If I recall correctly the R1/R2 was the first Speakers Roger designed under the Sound Lab label after he left Jantzen. The were really good sounding at the time but there was a 'venitian blind' effect in the horizontial dispersion, they were a Hybrid system the R2's had 2 10in woofers and a electrostat palel that was about 4ft by 2ft. This was in the late 70's early 80's. The speaker was replace by the A1 in the early 80's.
