One thing that I haven't mentioned relative to my listening room is a constraint. Despite the fact that the room is 27x17x10, I have two pairs of double french doors on one of the 27 foot sides that lead to a screened in porch. I have to leave enough room for the doors to open to the inside of the room which is why I was thinking M-2's.

I did speak to Duke today and found that he doesn't have MA-1's available due to the heat so I wouldn't be able to hear the two amps anyway. I was ready to fly down next weekend but Duke is going be out of town for the next two weekends. There is a gentleman in northern Va., Wamajama, that posts on Audioasylum.com with U1's and Wolcotts. I've emailed him and inquired if I might be able to listen to his setup at a time convenient to him. I'm in Richmond, Va. and if he were open I could carry my MA-1's up and A/B the two. I've never had an opportunity to hear a properly setup pair of Soundlabs. I did have an original pair of Pristines which I could never get to sound right. That was another marriage and another house.
