Albert,

I agree with your logic and always value your advice. However, at the time we discussed swapping the tubes out I was still in the process of trying to eval the Wolcotts on the Quadratures. I spent $ 340 on a set of counterfit input and driver tubes for the Wolcotts. Just got in too much of a hurry I guess. I ended up buying a pair of MA-1MKII.2's and compared them to the Wolcotts on the Quadratures. The Atma-spheres clearly sounded better on the Quadratures. I have no doubt that the Wolcotts are superior on Soundlabs. There are just too many instances of feedback to support that. I guess that I was surprised that the Wolcotts didn't sound better on the Quadratures. I was thinking at the time that even if I moved to Soundlabs or perhaps MG-20.1's that I was set with the Wolcotts in either case. I may well end up with another pair of Wolcotts as well as the Atma-spheres. I just would like to hear a well setup pair of Soundlabs with Wolcotts just to hear for myself what everyone with that combo is raving about.

Regards,

Tom
