The A-1's were originally voiced on the precursor to the Jeff Rowland Model 7 monoblock, and I am still using a highly-modified pair of 7's on my system today. I should mention that Jeff is a close personal friend, but I would never recommend his products if I didn't believe in them. His Model 8, 9 and 300 Series should also be considered, as the 7's can almost be considered vintage audio. The Rowlands just seem to have synergy with the SoundLabs.

I would also look at Levinson, Edge, and Classe.
