As for caps, I personally would not recommend oil types for this application; I have used polypropylene or polystyrene film and foils, but that's what makes this hobby interesting. Use what you like.
Now this is getting ridiculous, my original language was blocked because I used the word "t-i-t-l-e-d", which as we now contains that vulgar syllable t*t!!!! (I am surprised that the word "ri-DIC-ulous" was acceptable.)
