Hello Mike,
I am hovering around $700 to $999 for a pair of LCM-X2. I recently gave a pair to Jay (see his comments) as my first introduction. This mod is far more amazing than replacing any pre-amp, power wmp , wires… as the colorations and distortions occur after the speaker inputs – internal. This is very interesting, especially from a molecular point of view. I am not saying the speakers sound inferior, only saying that this modification elevates the SL to an unimaginable sonic level.
This is Plug and Play with the addition of a ground wire. Kind of like Magic if you are unfamiliar with electromagnetic forces.
I am looking for a second SL Owner to install this modification no charge. Here are a few more images.
Feel free to reach out and contact me, and again this is an improvement to an already great speaker…
and the pictures of the bird are a sound engineers impression of the sonioc difference.
