Most valve amplifiers and solid-state designs, including the best, are now obsolete. Audiophiles tend to be conservative people and choose with their eyes and their gut, rather than with their brain and ears. They like the visual impact, but it’s just a matter of synesthesia. I don’t know Hegel but I am not surprised that it can be competitive and even better than the most famous class A or AB amplifiers, whether valve or solid state.
